Title: Advancements in organic inorganic metal halide perovskites driving clean energy solutions

Abstract

Organic inorganic metal halide perovskites (OIMHPs) have emerged as a highly attractive class of semiconductor materials for photodetection owing to their superior optoelectronic properties compared to conventional materials.1 OIHPs are further bolstered by diverse global applications, including solar cells,2 light-emitting diodes (LEDs), and phototransistors. A key advantage of 2D MHPs lies in their inherent stability and tunable crystal thickness, a feature absent in 3D perovskites. This unique characteristic opens exciting possibilities for device design and performance optimization. Our research program aims to exploit the exceptional optoelectronic properties of 2D OIHPs for developing high-performance photovoltaic devices. We will explore various device architectures to optimize performance and functionality. Furthermore, we will focus on creating novl 3D/2D MHP materials tailored explicitly for stable and efficient optoelectronic devices.
