Biography

Dr. Xuan Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Energy and Power Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China. He received his B.S. degree from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2014 and his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2019. Prior to joining BIT in 2022, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Tsinghua University and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

His research interests focus on heat and mass transfer, fluid flow, and phase-change phenomena, with particular emphasis on icing and frosting, condensation, evaporation, boiling, solidification, melting, and droplet and bubble dynamics. His research contributes to the understanding and development of advanced thermal-fluid and phase-change technologies.
