Abdul Muneeb

Biography

Mr. Abdul Muneeb is currently serving as a Research Associate in the Department of Physics at the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his BS (Hons), equivalent to a Master’s degree, from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and later pursued an MPhil in Applied Physics at UET Lahore. He joined the research group of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shahid Rafique at the Centre for Nanomaterials and Advanced Research, where he investigated Ag-TiO2 nanocomposites synthesized via Dielectric Barrier Discharge plasma. He received his MPhil in 2022 and has published several SCI(E) articles.

 

Research interests:

  1. Design and synthesis of nanostructured materials for energy applications.
  2. Plasma assisted fabrication techniques to enhance properties of nanocomposites.
  3. Photocatalysis for environmental remediation, especially in dye degradation.
  4. Exploring structure-property relationships in nanomaterials to improve performance in energy conversion and storage systems, such as solar cells.
  5. Development of sustainable technologies utilizing plasma for surface modifications, nanofluid applications, and green hydrogen production.
  6. Advancements in clean energy solutions, focusing on environmental sustainability.
