Biography

Dr. Rabindranath Jana, Ph.D. (IIT, Kharagpur), is an Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT), Haldia, PO-HIT Campus, Haldia-721657, Midnapur (E), W.B., India. He has about 25 years of teaching and research experience. He did his Post-doc from Artificial Muscle Research Centre, Konkuk University, Seoul-143701, South Korea and Centre for Advanced Materials, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Tuskegee University, Alabama, USA. He worked as Deputy Manager (Mfg), Haldia Petrochemicals Limited, Haldia, India, Deputy Manager (R&D), Tuff Seals Pvt. Ltd., Jamshedpur, India, and as Polymer Technologist, Bharat Plastics, Daman, India. He received the National Awards for “Technology Innovation 2014”, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India. He was an Associate Editor of the Science Jet journal of Cognizure Publishers and Review Editor of Frontiers in Polymer Chemistry journal. He has published one book entitled, “Fundamentals of Safety, Health & Environmental Management”, White Falcon Publishing, in January 2025.
